Privacy statement
We collect as little as possible. This page explains what, why, and what your rights are. It applies to vinkintelligence.nl, vinkintelligence.com and the venture sites on their subdomains.

Who is responsible

What we process and why
- Contact
- The contact form opens your own email app with a prepared message. We only receive what you choose to send us by email: your email address, name and message. We use it to answer you and to prepare a possible collaboration. Our email is hosted by Microsoft 365. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or steps taken at your request before an agreement.
- Website statistics
- We measure how the websites are used with PostHog, in its EU region. This covers pages viewed, referring page, browser and device type, and the language and site you visited. It runs without cookies or local storage, without profiles of individual people, without session recordings, and without sending your IP address to PostHog. It respects Do Not Track. We use it to see which content is useful and to improve the sites. Basis: our legitimate interest in improving our websites.
- Hosting
- The websites are hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States). To deliver and secure the sites, Vercel processes technical request data such as your IP address and browser type in server logs.
Cookies
We do not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie is vink_lang. It is set only if you actively switch language, stores the value nl or en, and lasts one year. It makes the site remember your language choice. This is a functional cookie and needs no consent.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers named above (PostHog, Vercel, Microsoft), who process it on our behalf. Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area. We keep email correspondence for as long as needed for the conversation and for our administration, and statistics data for as long as it is useful for improving the sites.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, ask us to restrict its use, object to it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Send your request to the address below. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Links to other websites
Our pages link to other sites, such as GitHub, LinkedIn, IEEE Xplore, arXiv and client sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we update this page and its date.
